Implementation of a proper Trade Market

  1. The purpose of this is to primarily give both forum and non-forum users a more convenient way to trade rather than from a forum post or WC ad. So this will reduce ads on both.

    Key Concept
Via a button (maybe market), stalls/stores can be set up through an automatic cs calculator can be used to set up trades where the trader places items up for trade and can get it sold w/o anything actually communication or effort in the actual trade. Thus, through multiples ways to trade, items can be sold even if it takes days or weeks with no need to actually advertise it. (especially if looking for a large sum or list of rare items (eg. 1b cs or unkari charms))

It is natural to think of giving gold a real monetary value for cs due to the market/store like nature of this idea, however it wouldn't work due to the variability of gold income by the cs of players and the huge exploitation of creating potentially unlimited extremely high cs Alts with gold earned from mains.

    Elaboration:
    Selling
    Now there are two options:
-Place items there for a defintive value (mcs or gold?)
-Place items in, but don't give a price. (Though the definitive value will like have a much more smoother system)
-Place items in, but only accept it for another specific item that may or may not be of equal value by mcs.

As it's not likely for someone to have the exact mcs requested, it will operate on a minimum cs value before the purchase can be made. Another suggestion here would be to have an automatic calculator that totals the cs of all items selected prior to the automatic transaction.

As players may have certain items that they absolutely do not want, or as others may not like getting heaps of different random small items, there will be an option of blacklisting certain items and providing an item limit both by or singularly, respectively as the former and latter, by the total number of items or the the total number of different items.

Comparatively, it could also be possible for there to only be definitive values accepting trades only for a certain item or items, and this would completely remove the option of leaving open trades.

    The Search Function/Buying
If such a thing were to be implemented, it would be extremely difficult to actually navigate through this all. So there should be three search systems

    By MCS
This would work by simply putting in a numerical value of the MCS a buyer is looking for and the items for which the buyer is planning to trade for. From here, the system will automatically choose items that best fit this cs value with appropriation to white listed/blacklisted items, finding the closest match at that moment. Here are they are two options: It can give the searcher a message displaying the total mcs of the closest match or it'll automatically trade for an item with plus or minus x % or value of the items.

    By items
This search option, of course, allows a player to look down on a list of items that match the keywords entered for any specific item they may be looking for. (eg. collectors) It is here that they can then decide whether they want to trade or not.
    - The seller's requirements for the trade will be listed next to the item.
    - For this to work at optimal functionality, there should be some sorting systems for any list.
    a) Sorting by alphabetical order. Though I've mentioned this sorting form, I have to mention its redundancy in providing much use for a keyword search and the fact that it's just so much more useful to sort by:
    b) Total value of the items by mcs or
    c) total value of the items by rarity (event) for collectors.
(though not sure how b and c can be sorted at the same time)

    For a specific trade
As in both other search forms, it is possible to get items that are not perfectly equal in mcs value and as some people are interested in trading a set of specific items for another set of specific items, this search function will have two columns separated by a divider. Traders will be able to list the set of items that they are interested in trader for and the items they want to trade with.

Due to the specificity of trades like this, it is not likely that someone will get the actual trade they are looking for, so this search will be in a list format of the trades with the highest number of common items if the specific trade is unavailable. (which can be sorted by the previously mentioned methods a,b and c.

Before all trades, even after searching, a message asking to confirm the trade whilst listing the items that are being traded by both sides will be shown.

    Other Ideas

Context - Use of gold in trading

Apologies for some errors which I am too lazy to edit out on my phone with all this code.

  2. Trade calculator support, fed up trying to add charms up..support

  3. There is only one problem with selling charms for gold. Funneling gold to alts. Just going to leave this here. An auction style setup in an open market could help prevent that though.

  4. I have to elaborate. Example: lb member a wants more charms and has an alt, builds massive stock of gold up let's say 10q.Trades said gold to alt for a single charm or group there of. Now the alt can bc access a better clan and reach larger tier event items thus trading back to main. So basically you just give an option to funnel gold down.

  5. Only real option I can see working without exploit is an anonymous auction.

  6. already covered the gold bit third paragraph down:

But yea, auctions are a good idea, I'll add it to the original post with reference.

  7. No support. The color here is awful. They need to fix the trade window so we are able to see what is being sent to us. Currently some of us can’t open a charm to see the stats on it during trade.
