On of KaW's problems right now is an overload of clans... Most people that make clans, they just end up giving them away. Then new players come in looking for a new starter clan. They end up joining a clan, but the clan can not complete simple EBs such as Warbeasts, Cover of Night, Awakening, etc. due to the lack of people in the starter clan. The new players quickly lose hope because they can't complete tier 1-2 EBs, and they soon give up on the game. How can we solve this? -- I suggest that we put some starter clans that are ran by Moderators/Bots... It wouldn't hurt to make a few pop-ups for beginner KaWers... Another thing is clans need to have a chat. A chat ONLY for admins and owner. Or atleast a group chat like PMs. Same as PMs, just with a couple more people. Thanks, ~DreadedCalls
There is a thread that was made specifically for KaW ideas and suggestions. Can't remember the name, however I'm sure someone who will comment here will.
There's also an entire section of forums for ideas and suggestions and I'm pretty sure it was meant to be used.
There was a thread made to combine a bunch of ideas in one place, but there's no reason a thread can't be made with separate ideas. This thread could be linked on the ideas thread if someone wished to do so. Now onto the actual idea...I like the idea of having a 'bot' run clan for new players. It would give them a chance to grow a bit while being in a clan that (I'm assuming) couldn't fail an eb. Though a negative might be whether there'll be players there to show them the ropes. A chat for admins has been suggested many times. I'd like to see it implemented, it would improve clans I think.
These starter clans should kick out the player based on the player's size or these players would continually depend in the bot clans...
Thats the problem... People make clans and quickly lose hope and disband them or give them away. Beginners could atleast start off with more than 30,000 gold...
Also, I am a noob to forums, if someone would tell me how to link this forum to the suggestion thread or whatever it is called.. Thanks !
No, they shouldn't. Some clans close because owners don't have the time to be the owner of a clan and then they re open later. Or people make clans to house their alts. It's not necessarily a matter about having too many clans or it being too easy to make one. It's a matter of finding ways to direct new players to the right clans to get them off on the right foot. If they can be introduced to a decent clan at the beginning, they may be more likely to continue playing.
I see what you mean, but I still think if no wars, EBs, etc. have not ran within a week, the clan should be shutdown.
There is no use for inactive clans that just sit there. And even worse, beginners may join the inactive clan and lose hope because no EBs have been ran....
If a clan is inactive, how does someone accept the player? Shutting down after one week of inactivity would be a total joke. What about if it's a PvP clan that doesn't run wars or ebs? Everyone just gets throw out on their ass after week and they make a new clan week after week?
