    I think we can all agree that EE Wars as well as PvP in general are due for a massive update to make the PvP/war aspect of the game more engaging & enjoyable for all. Within this thread I will address a vast amount of issues in many ways including equipment, changes to bfa, spells, adornments, quests, etc.

    Some of these ideas may have already been suggested in one form or another, (I don't have time to read through every thread in KaW history) so I apologize in advance if you may have had a similar idea. If you do not care enough to read through it all then you will be unable to grasp the full extend of the proposed changes & should not comment on the thread at all.

    Magic

    Years of war and chaos have changed the very world around us & within these ruinous battle-scarred lands the lost art of magic has been uncovered!

    The user interface has been updated to include the new magic feature:

    There are a variety of magic spells, some beneficial & some offensive. Spells may be purchased with mithril through the supplies/other section. Here is an example of one of the 10 new spells:

    Below is a not so fancy list of the rest:

    [​IMG]Necromancy
    Removes knock-out status & restores target's spies by 5 regens. The target of this spell must be knocked out or at 0% troops/spies. If knocked out, this spell may only be cast on yourself. Enemies will be notified 10 seconds after this spell is cast.

    [​IMG]Firestorm
    Depletes target's troops by an amount equal to 2 troop regens.

    [​IMG]Thunderstorm
    Depletes target's spies by an amount equal to 2 spy regens.

    [​IMG]Touch of Life
    Restores target's troop/spies by up to 2 regens.

    [​IMG]Shadow Reconstruction
    Restores target's spies by up to 3 regens.

    [​IMG]Stunning Glymph
    The target of this spell may not use spells, troops, or spy actions for 10 seconds. Target of spell will receive a notification that this spell has been cast on them.

    [​IMG]Arcane Vulnerability
    All troop/spy actions will succeed on the target of this spell for 5 seconds. Target of spell will receive a notification that this spell has been cast on them.

    [​IMG]Tower of Stone
    All troop/spy actions will fail on the target of this spell for 10 seconds. Enemies who fail actions while this spell is up will be notified that this spell was active (so they don't keep unloading fails).

    [​IMG]Veil of the Unseen
    Target's name will not be included in the notification enemies receive when troop/spy actions are used on them for 30 seconds.


    The idea here is to add more flavor, strategy, and coordination to EE War/OSW as well as to level the playing field for all players. Due to how powerful spells could be there have been limitations put in place. You may only have 1 of each spell at a time and each spell may only be used once per hour. A player may only be the target of a spell once per minute. Spells that remove a target from knock-out status will notify the enemy 10 seconds after it is cast in order to not confuse trackers into thinking a player has used a regeneration crystal.
    *Note: Any spell that uses the term "regen" refers to the +8-9% troop/spies you gain every 5mins.

    Adornments

    Through study of this newly found magic, the Mage & Alchemist have worked together to contain certain magical properties into small runes known as "adornments" in which may be used to magically enhance your equipment!

    Adornments (also known as runes) will be purchased with mithril through the Alchemist. Adornments may be added to equipment at the cost of aqua/inferno through the Mage. This will keep players active in both EBs & EE Wars, while giving those with mostly (if not all) war equipment something to do with their aqua/inferno.

    Certain adornments may only be used to adorn certain equipment slots. If multiples of an adornment are used in different equipment slots, it will increase the chance or percentage shown. Here is an example of one of the new adornments:

    Below is a not so fancy list of the rest:

    [​IMG]Sylvan Regeneration
    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Ring, Trinket
    When adorned onto your equipment you will receive a 1% chance at a double troop regen.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Ring, Trinket
    When adorned onto your equipment you will receive a 5% chance to restore any potions used when attacking or defending both troop and spy actions.

    [​IMG]Rogue's Fury
    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Shoulders, Arms, Hands
    When adorned onto your equipment you will receive 10% more plunder from KOs resulting from spy actions.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Shoulders, Arms, Hands
    When adorned onto your equipment you will receive a 2% chance to ignore enemy bfa/bfe when using troop/spy actions.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Arms
    When adorned onto your equipment you will receive a 1% chance to hit twice when using troop/spy actions.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Hands
    When adorned onto your equipment you will receive 1% chance to steal from your enemy's plunder the amount you receive from your successful steal. In addition, you will receive 10% more plunder from steals.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Weapon, Off Hand
    When adorned onto your equipment you will receive a 1% chance when using troop attacks to regenerate your troops by 1 regen.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Weapon, Off Hand
    When adorned onto your equipment you will receive a 1% chance when using spy actions to regenerate your spies by 1 regen.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Head
    When adorned onto your equipment you will gain a 5% chance to receive a notification when an enemy target uses a regeneration crystal.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Armor, Legs, Head
    When adorned onto your equipment you will gain a 1% chance to cause enemies to fail troop actions with no troop loss to your army.

    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Armor, Legs, Head
    When adorned onto your equipment you will gain a 1% chance to cause enemies to fail spy actions with no spy loss to your army.

    [​IMG]Stealth
    This rune may be adorned to the following equipment slots: Feet
    When adorned onto your equipment you will gain a 5% chance for your name to not be included in the notification enemies receive when troop/spy actions are used on them.


    Once adorned onto your equipment that adornment is permanent unless you use a different adorn to adorn over the current adorn. In this case the old adornment will be lost. Here is an example of the equipment window displaying adornment equipment:

    Rare adornments with small increases may be added as EE season rewards. Again, the idea of adornments is to add more flavor to your equipment, as well as to level the playing field for all players (emphasis on spy builds).

    War Emblems

    Though this was an original idea, (due to the time and thought that went into this post) someone beat me to it. Rather then not include this idea in my post, I decided to continue my interpretation of how to implement it.

    Ever been that frustrated guy giving it his all against all odds on the losing team? Ever spent a good amount of time and effort building a roster only to be mis-matched vs a superior team? Ever want to be recognized for what tanks bring to the table and not just plunder? Ever want to be rewarded for the time and effort that goes into commanding and/or tracking a war? Now you can be!

    The idea is that at the end of the war you will receive an additional +10 mithril for every emblem received. There is a total of 10 emblems that may be earned for each team separately (you compete for emblems with your team only).

    Here is an example of how the emblems would appear in the war results at the end of the war:

    Here is a list of the emblems and how they are earned:

    [​IMG]Emblem of the War Commander
    At the time when the matchup is received all players on the same team will have 15 minutes to vote for a war commander. Voting will be done through a special spell that will appear in the new "magic" button on player's profile. Voting will be done the same as casting a spell, just select the player and cast the War Commander spell. Whichever player receives the most War Commander spells cast on them at the end of the 15 minute voting window is selected as the war commander, and will receive an additional 10 mithril at the end of the war. In addition, they will receive the War Commander spell icon on their profile & their chat text will appear in orange.

    At the time when the matchup is received all players on the same team will have 15 minutes to vote for a tracker. Voting will be done through a special spell that will appear in the new "magic" button on player's profile. Voting will be done the same as casting a spell, just select the player and cast the Tracker spell. Whichever player receives the most Tracker spells cast on them at the end of the 15 minute voting window is selected as the tracker, and will receive an additional 10 mithril at the end of the war. In addition, they will receive the Tracker spell icon on their profile & their chat text will appear in red.

    I believe if this were implemented it would really increase the EE war activity and encourage players to really give it their all even if the odds are stacked against them.

    Bonus From Allies

    Bonus from allies is one of the biggest problems I see with this game. Unfortunately it has just gotten too high. Before I get into it I will do a little explaining on how raw stats and bonus from allies affect a player.

    Not so bad eh? Now multiply that by 100 and a player with 38tril in allies could have 300m static spy defense (in raw spy defense). Multiply that 300m by 10 and a player with 380tril in allies could have 3billion static spy defense (in raw spy defense).

    See the problem here? 160m in spy attack pots pale in comparison.

    As shown above you gain 50m raw stats in the corresponding stat per 1mil cs. If you have 20mil cs in spy attack that is 1b in raw spy attack. Try using a spy action on the example given earlier in the post who could have 3b static raw spy defense from bfa alone.

    This is one of the largest problems in the upper spectrum of the game. Certain players just cannot be hit. This is also a massive problem in the lower spectrum of the game where Shadow Hansels amass so much bonus from allies that their hit range and static atk/spy attack is high enough to hit much larger builds. This is because hit range is determined by cs & bfa. A Shadow Hansel with 4mil cs (which equals 200m raw stats) and 38tril in allies (which using me in the pictures above & multiplying my hire value and stats by 100 as an example could equal 496m in raw stats) makes them around 14mil cs if you add the raw stats gained from cs and bfa together and so their hit range and static atk/def/spy attack/spy def is much higher then their cs would suggest.

    This causes them to earn far higher plunder then intended because the game basically only recognizes them as 4milcs hitting someone far bigger then them when they attack players 2-10 times their size. In addition, when a player 2-10 times their size attacks a SH they gain almost no plunder because the game does not take into account their massive bfa & simply recognizes them as attacking a player much weaker then them.


    The solution....?

    Introducing Diminishing Returns!

    Diminishing returns is designed to continue to provide benefits from allies while keeping bfa in line with your current cs, to remove the ability for small builds to abuse bfa, & to create a more fair and level playing field for all players.

    Here is how it works:

    You will gain 100% of your bonus from allies until you reach 50% if your current raw stats.

    BFA will "soft cap" at 50% of your current raw stats (explained above). This means you will continue to receive 100% of the benefits of your bonus from allies until your total bonus from allies has reached 50% of your raw stats.

    Example: Mr Shadow Hansel has 4mil combined stats which = 200mil raw stats. Mr Shadow Hansel will stop receiving 100% of stat gain from bonus from allies when his bfa has reached 100mil raw stats (for reference I'd estimate this around 6-10tril in allies). At this point Mr Shadow Hansel will only receive 25% of what he normally would from any additional bfa that exceeds 50% of his total raw stats. This means if he has an ally with 40mil cs he will only benefit from 10mil.

    This will continue up to 100% of his total raw stats (400mil raw stats). At this point Mr Shadow Hansel will have reached the hard cap for his cs & will no longer benefit from additional bfa until he grows and raises his cs.

    Here is an example of how to find your total raw stats from CS:

    Once you are HFBC and have at least 1 building on each HF land the hard cap is removed & your diminishing returns will apply as follows:

    Up to 50% of your raw stats = 100% benefit from BFA.
    Between 51-100% of your raw stats = 25% benefit from BFA.
    101% or more then your raw stats = 10% benefit from BFA.


    I believe implementing these changes would fix most issues with matching clans and remove the need for primal wars. In my opinion, primal wars were simply a band-aid to cover a much larger issue: the issue of roster stacking lb/sh and bfa. These changes should remove such issues.

    PvP Quests

    PvP quests will require that you perform a certain number of specific actions on enemy kingdoms. There are 4 quests you can complete once every 24hrs (daily) and one quest you may complete once every 168 hours (weekly). These PvP specific quests will only update off of actions performed through the Battle List (to reduce the chance of exploitation through alt/friend farming).

    Upon completion of these quests you will receive gold relative to your cs, a chance of receiving potions (which potions you receive will be relative to the actions you performed during the quest as well as your cs), a chance of receiving a small amount of mithril, and a rare chance of receiving a regeneration crystal.

    Here is an example of a partially completed PvP Quest:

    Scout's Challenge

    Reward: Varies

    Thief's Challenge

    Time to complete: 24hrs.

    Conquerer's Challenge

    Perform 350 attacks on enemy kingdoms.
    Perform 210 assassinates on enemy kingdoms.
    Perform 280 scouts on enemy kingdoms.
    Perform 140 steals on enemy kingdoms.
    Time to complete: 168hrs.
    Reward: Varies + Aura of the Conquerer
    (This quest will give 5 times the amount of gold/pots/mithril/xtals the daily quests give if you receive a drop of pots/mithril/xtals & will update in conjunction with the daily quests).

    Aura of the Conquerer

    Grants 100% PvP/EB plunder bonus for 24hrs.

    I believe if PvP Quests were added it would increase the chances for PvP/OSW conflicts across the board & give people a good incentive to hit the BL. Even people who mostly do EBs would hit the BL for the 24hr spell granted from completing the weekly & devs would benefit from xtals players may be burning to finish their quests/from general PvP conflicts.

    Though the spells will add seconds to an attack, that may determine a ko, sko, or being koed. But then again you don't need to use them.

    The emblem idea is great and the bonus things to the equipment.

    P.S. King-Arthurs-Corp, these are the kind of threads that will make you a mod, not the noob ones you make no offense.

    I appreciate the amount of work that you put into this thread.
    that said, I cannot support this idea with the balances that you have provided. there are too many spells, there are too many effects, a lot of them are far too strong. if you had said you can replenish by one regen, then perhaps these micro-crystals would have some merit. I can't see this working very well, it would simply be too confusing.

    Btw an idea or two thrown out for season one was that troops in ee regen at twice the rate. Or when you are ko'd you regen with half a bar

    Sorry for the confusion. Any effect that says regen refers to the 8% troop or 9% spy regen you gain every 5mins.

    I like the bfa cap idea..kaw needs to go to a tiered system..not sure what cs each tier should be but something along those lines is needed..better rewards as you grow..can only hit people in your tier or level..only play ebs in your level ..if you go to drop build you will only be allowed to use equip/spells that are allowed on that tier/level etc
